This is the first time I've ever had this big of a problem with any iPhone I've ever owned even as far back as my iPhone 3G. I could use any help if someone out there knows how to fix this issue. If you're wondering the answer is yes, I have gone to that web address and attempted all steps to fix it and nothing is working at all. I have completely uninstalled iTunes, then shut down and restarted my computer, then reinstalled iTunes (the latest version) and attempt everything again and the iPhone is still unrecognized by the computer or visa versa and it still always keeps showing the insert the cable into the computer screen with the web address /iphone/restore at the very top of the iPhone 8 screen. The iPhone still never recognizes when it is connected, nor the computer. I have hard booted the iPhone 8 until the apple is showing and it jumps right back to the cable insert to computer screen after about half a second of the apple screen. I have already checked the cable for any flaws there is nothing visibly wrong with it and it was working fine through the entire updating process, so it's not the cable. Now my computer does not recognize that my iPhone is plugged in nor does my iPhone recognize that it is plugged in. I then tried again but it stopped recognizing that my iPhone was connected and started showing the pic where it wants you to plug your iPhone into the computer. While in the process it continually kept stopping and saying it could not complete the update, I tried several times it got to the point where it had me enter my passcode into iPhone my after the computer completed unpacking and installing iOS 13.5 file and then it just quit and said it failed again. IOS 13.5 update today iPhone 8 issues Hi, so I logged onto my computer to do a few things when iTunes notified me that it needed to be updated great, it completed that then iTunes said iOS 13.5 was available and asked if I wanted to update which I never had issues with doing before so I attempted to do so. Incidentally, my phone doesn't display the Trust This Computer prompt when it's first connected to the PC. In the diagnostics log displayed after the tests are complete, one line reads:Īdditionally, no Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is to be found in the list of USB controllers in Device Manager. However, lower in the same screen it says: When I run a device connectivity test in iTunes, the following warning is displayed: I attempted to follow the instructions for restarting the Apple Mobile Device Service, but when I open the services console, AMDS is not listed. I tried installing the version downloaded directly from Apple as a workaround, but it made my laptop unbootable and I had to restore my system from a backup. The version of iTunes I'm using is downloaded from the Microsoft Store. PC detects iPhone, but contents not accessible My Windows 10 laptop appears to recognize my iPhone, but won't show or give me access to the contents. Also approximately a week ago was the last time I connected my iPhone to my PC with no problem and the phone could get charged and get recognized from my PC and iTunes just fine.Īlso I did try several time to clean uninstall all apple programs with the specific order that I found on apple community Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates under the section "Removing and Reinstalling iTunes and other software devices" and I tried to reinstall iTunes and iCloud but the same problem insists.ĭoes anybody have the same issue with me and if so did you solve it?ĭoes anybody have any other ideas of how to solve this problem given the fact I tried all the upper solutions which are the most common solutions to this problem? Now I want to clarify that I use my Apple cable as always and that it works fine when I plug it to my power brick. In the Apple folder I only see folders: Apple Application Support and Internet Services. When I do right-click>update driver>automated search for driver software update and try to update the driver it gives me Error for the Apple Mobile Device USB Composite Device.Īlso when I do right-click>update driver>Manual search for driver software in my computer then in the Programs Files>Common Files>Apple, the Apple Mobile Device Service folder is missing completely. Since then my Iphone is not recognized from my PC w10 and the Device Manager shows the iPhone with a yellow exclamation point-! under the section "Other Devices". My PC computer and iTunes does not recognize my iPhone 7 plus and Apple Mobile Device USB driver is missing all of the sudden after I did a windows update.
